Grid auto adjust feature

Question:

We have installed version 2024.2.0.0 and noted that there is an option when you right click on the grid screen, to auto adjust. 

What is the purpose of this feature?


Answer:

IQ introduced a new feature in version 2024.2.0.0 and up, where the user can auto adjust the grid so that all the columns that are selected does fit on the screen. 

In prior versions you need to manually drag the fields to fit on the grid screen.

This will apply to all forms that has a grid screen. 


Note:

Do not apply the feature when you have selected all the fields, this may take a very long time to calculate the grid. 

It is recommend to not add to many columns on the grid screen, otherwise there will be performance penalties incurred. 


Steps:

Right click on the grid screen like below.


Select the option Auto Adjust.
