Disclosure
Please note that we utilised some information from the IQ/ERP Go Training team for this documentation.

Overview
The Point of Sale (POS) Dual Display functionality allows you to use two displays on a single terminal: one display facing the customer and a second display facing the operator. This setup enhances the checkout experience by providing customers with clear visibility of transaction details while allowing the operator to continue working efficiently. In this knowledge base article, we will explain how to configure and enable the POS Dual Display functionality.

Idea
We recommend using the Dual Display as an alternative to pole displays, as pole display technology is archaic and legacy-based. The Dual Display solution also offers enhanced features and improved functionality.

Configuration steps
To enable the POS Dual Display functionality, navigate to Point of Sale → POS Setup → Hardware Setup, and select the checkbox next to Enable Dual Display.

Once selected, the Dual Display option (no longer greyed out) will be enabled at the bottom-right of the screen.
To proceed, click the Dual Display button.

The following screen will appear, as shown below:

Screen terminology

Assign dual displays
After clicking the ellipsis (...) button, follow the on-screen prompts to identify and assign your Primary and Secondary displays.
Once assigned, you can begin testing and adjusting the Dual Display settings as needed.

Once you click the ellipsis (...) button, each of your displays will show a number (1, 2, etc.).
These numbers correspond to each screen, allowing you to select which display will serve as the Primary or Secondary display.

If you have two displays, one will show the number 1 and the other 2. This helps you identify which display to assign as your Primary and Secondary display.

The Primary display will be the operator-facing screen, where the standard IQ POS Sales interface is shown.

The Secondary display will be the client-facing screen, where the Dual Display interface appears.
The screenshot below shows the Secondary display before any options have been selected in the setup screen.
