1.
Ticked (Solid Tick) — User Has Explicit Access
When a tick block is ticked manually in the user’s Access section:
The user is granted access to that function.
This setting overrides the user group permissions.
It is an explicit permission applied directly to the user/operator.
Use Case:
Granting an individual extra access beyond what their group allows.
2.
Grey Tick (Inherited Permission) — User Inherits Access From Group
A grey tick means:
The permission is inherited from the user’s group.
The user’s access is determined by the group configuration, not by the individual setting.
No manual change has been made at user level.
Use Case:
Standard permissions that apply to everyone in a specific group (e.g., Cashiers, Stock Controller, Manager).
❌ 3.
No Tick (Empty Box) — No Access at All
When the tick block is empty:
Neither the user nor the group has permission.
The functionality will be hidden, blocked, or restricted in the system.
